Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
Lexora does not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information (PII) for general platform usage. We only collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data, such as interaction patterns and feature usage, to improve our AI model and the quality of our services.
When you use the Case Pool, you may choose to share personal details such as your name, phone number, and case information. This information is collected only with your explicit consent and is shared exclusively with vetted, qualified lawyers matched to your case.
When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information (such as credit/debit card details and billing address) is collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Lexora does not store your full card number. For more information, see Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Lexora is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.
2. How We Use Your Data
Anonymous usage data is used solely to strengthen and improve Lexora's AI model. This helps us provide more accurate legal information and better case matching. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to improving the platform.
Personal information provided through the Case Pool is used only to connect you with relevant lawyers. It is never used for model training or any other purpose.
3. Data Security
Security is built into every layer of Lexora. All data, including chat messages, is protected with a high level of encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud platforms with industry-standard security measures.
Our LLM infrastructure runs on secure, isolated platforms. Both our server-side and client-side systems are built with security-first architecture, including input validation, secure API handling, and protection against common vulnerabilities.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users promptly upon becoming aware of the incident.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. When you submit your case to the Case Pool with your explicit consent, matched lawyers are able to purchase access to your specific case in order to contact you. This is a per-case transaction: lawyers pay to connect with you based on your legal need, not to acquire your data as a product.
Your information is never shared outside of matched legal professionals, and is never used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond facilitating your legal connection.
5. Third-Party Services
Stripe: We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you enter payment details, that information is handled directly by Stripe's secure infrastructure. Lexora does not have access to your full card number. Stripe may collect billing information such as your card details, billing address, and transaction history. Billing data is retained by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable financial regulations.
Tawk.to: We use Tawk.to to provide live chat support on our platform. Tawk.to may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and chat transcripts to facilitate support conversations. For more information, see Tawk.to's privacy policy at tawk.to/privacy-policy.
Cloudinary: Uploaded documents and exported PDF case summaries are stored on Cloudinary's cloud infrastructure. Cloudinary acts as a data processor on our behalf and stores files in secure data centres. Files are retained for the duration of your account or case lifecycle.
Claude AI (Anthropic): Lexora is powered by Claude AI. Your chat messages and case context are processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses. We do not use your data to train AI models. Data sent to Claude is limited to what is necessary for generating your response.
6. Your Data, Your Control
Any personal information you provide through the Case Pool, including your name, phone number, and case details, is shared only with your explicit consent. You have the right to access, correct, or request removal of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hadi@scalrlabs.com, and we will action your request promptly.
Please note that data already accessed by a matched lawyer prior to your removal request cannot be retroactively unshared.
7. Analytics
Lexora uses PostHog to collect usage analytics across the platform, including interactions with features such as authentication, chat, Case Pool, case views, user profile, settings, and paywall. PostHog is configured to collect non-identifiable usage data only. No personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or case content is captured or stored through analytics. This data is used solely to understand feature usage patterns and ensure the platform operates at the highest quality for our users.
8. Data Caching
To improve performance, Lexora caches certain data both server-side (using Redis) and client-side (using your browser's localStorage). Cached data may include case details, preferences, and session state. Server-side caches expire automatically. Client-side caches persist until you clear your browser data, which may reset your local preferences and progress.
9. PDF Case Export
Lexora allows you to export your case summary, action plan, and related details as a PDF document. The exported PDF may contain your case description, AI-generated analysis, recommended action items, and any personal details you have provided. Exported PDFs are generated via Cloudinary and are intended for your personal use.
10. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian provincial privacy laws.
Lexora is a product of 15269113 Canada Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of Canada. All data collection, use, and disclosure practices described in this policy are carried out by 15269113 Canada Inc. on behalf of Lexora.
By using Lexora, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this policy.
